Introduction: Toy Boat

Build your own Amazingly fun toy boat right now!!! It's an amazing gift to give, and it's super duper easy to make!!!

Supplies

29.5cm x 4cm x2cm piece of wood, 1 wooden cylinder, a pencil (Must be pencil, have to erase lines), some sand paper/ sanding machine, wood glue, a chisel, a saw and a drill

Piece of Wood: L=29.5cm W=4cm D=2cm

Step 1: Marking Point of Ship

Get a 29.5 cm piece of wood and draw a line 5 mm from the top ( line a) and a line 3.5 cm from the top (line b). From the center of line (a), draw 2 lines that match to the corners of line (b). You should have a triangle shape

Step 2: Marking the Hull

from line (b), draw another line 12.5cm down from it. from that line draw another 4cm down from it.

Step 3: Marking the End of the Boat and the Tip of the Second Floor

From the bottem of the hull, mark a line 4 cm bellow (line c)

From line (c), draw another line 1cm bellow it, (line d)

Ater this, repeat step 1, from the center of line (c), draw 2 lines that match to the corners of line (d), making a triangle.

Step 4: Making the Hull

From the hull, draw a line 1cm down from the top of the wood and match it up with the corners of the lines marking the hull (see picture for better understanding)

Step 5: Making Hull 2.0

  1. Mark 5 lines across the boat, evenly spread out
  2. use a saw to cut through each line
  3. Chisel the pieces away


Step 6: Making Hole for Pipe

Drill a hole 1cm deep in the center of the second floor part (end of piece of wood) Make sure the hole is the same size as the wooden cylinder.

Step 7: Cutting the Points

  1. Cut off the front of the boat tips as shown in the picture,
  2. Then, cut off the second floor part
  3. cut off the tip of the second floor

Step 8: Glue It Up

Glue the wooden cylinder into the drill hole with wood glue, then glue on the second floor of the ship on-top of the boat wherever you want. Let it dry for a few hours or a day

Step 9: Final Touches, Sanding!

First, erase the pencil lines to the best of you're ability, then sand the boat everywhere!!! sand off the remaining marks.

MAKE EVERYTHING SMOOTH!!!

sand down areas where wood glue "escaped"

Step 10: Enjoy

Now you have a floating wooden toy boat to give as a present... or keep for yourself ; )
