Introduction: 3D Printed Paper Airplane Launcher
Hello my name is Parker, I'm a homeschool student in 8th grade and I designed a really cool paper airplane launcher in Fusion 360.
It works by stretching the rubber band to the back of the launcher and placing your air plane in the slot, and then pushing the rubber band up with your thumb.
Loading the Paper Airplane:
Supplies
- 3D printer
- Fusion 360
- Computer
- Filament
- Paper airplane launcher file (attached on this instructable)
- Thin rubber bands
Step 1: DESIGN BACKGROUND
I developed this idea because when I threw paper air planes they would never fly straight or very far. After making this launcher my paper air planes flew much straighter and farther. The time to print is ~2 hours.
Step 2: 3d Print Launcher
- To start download the file above and splice it.
- Upload it to your 3d printer and print.
- Attatch a thin rubber band to the hook on the end.
- Stretch rubber band to the handle as seen in the image.
- Load a paper airplane and push rubber band up with thumb to launch as seen in the video.
