Overview
Guerilla design is all about taking existing objects and hacking/modding/refinishing them into something fresh and new. For the Guerrilla Design Contest, roll up your sleeves and start conjuring up some scrap-heap alchemy.
We're especially excited about some extra special, one-of-a-kind prizes: several handmade guerilla-designed furniture pieces by designer Will Holman: a table, two chairs, and a stool. These pieces are featured in Will's forthcoming book, Guerilla Furniture Design (Storey Publishing, April 2015). You’ll also be in the running to win a Makita 7-piece cordless tool set and tons of brilliant knowledge in the form of some excellent handpicked books.
Will Holman will also be acting as a special guest judge for this contest! Will is a longtime Instructables member, and he’s about to release a new book called Guerilla Furniture Design, which makes him the perfect judge for this contest.
He was educated as an architect at Virginia Tech and Auburn University's Rural Studio. He has worked as a designer, craftsman, carpenter, educator, and author. Since 2008, Holman has published 54 furniture construction how-to articles on Instructables.com. His work has also been published in the book PlyDesign, in Readymade and Make magazines, Design Observer, and on several prominent sustainable design websites. He lives and works in Baltimore, Maryland, where he is currently planning a makerspace for a non-profit development company.

Create a new Instructable that fits the guidelines outlined in the contest description above. To be eligible, Instructables must be published between Feb 9, 2015 and Mar 23, 2015 (11:59pm PT).
Upon publishing your Instructable you'll see checkboxes for open contests. Select Guerilla Design Contest. If you have entries currently eligible for entry, it will also show up by clicking "Enter this Contest" on the right side of this page.
Entries are accepted by Instructables staff within one business day Monday - Friday. What matters is the submission time, not acceptance time.
A panel of judges made up of Instructables staff and respected members of the community rate the finalists. The averages of the ratings determine the winners.
When the winners are decided they will be notified and announced here on the contest page.
