Overview

An epic Halloween costume is every DIYer’s greatest point of pride. There are few things more satisfying than wearing a costume so good, people know what you are without having to ask. Whether your evening will be spent scaring the pants off of people who walk through your haunted house, collecting candy from door to door with kids in tow, or strutting your stuff on the dance floor with your pals, you’ll want your look to last, and be an original creation that shows off your DIY skills.
Halloween is the pinnacle of DIY holidays, and while some of us will spend weeks planning and customizing our looks, we understand that some folks just don’t have that kind of time. We appreciate simplicity as much as intricacy, and this year we’ll be rewarding both with Judges’ Prizes for Best Simple Costume and Most Elaborate Sewing. Anyone can buy a store-bought costume, but you’re cut from a different cloth. Show us your most creative DIY Halloween costume for a chance to win a Canon T5i DSLR, a Juki TL-2010Q, an iPad Mini, and other awesome prizes!

Confused if your project qualifies?  Check out the definition we are using here.
